 Ben, a two-year-old Shepherd mix, came to the Cleveland APL when his elderly owner decided she could no longer care for him. Ben is a big dog with lots of energy, and he was unhappy and stressed out at the shelter. Despite that, he soon became a favorite of many APL volunteers and staff members. One of our veterinary technicians took a special liking to Ben and soon found out he knew lots of commands and just adored playing with a ball. One of our wonderful APL Foster Care Volunteers decided that Ben would be her first foster dog. Her decision proved to be very lucky for Ben. She fell in love with Ben, and soon adopted him!
