Hi all! It’s Ozzy here. I out smarted my brother this time. He seems to always write the blog on Fridays during my prime napping hour. But see, this week I wrote this blog Thursday…a day before he could tell everyone how I’m sleeping yet again! Point: Ozzy!
Now on to the important stuff! I wanted to feature two fantastic felines this week, Remy and Reka! Remy and Reka are 11-year-old sisters. They came to the APL because their owner
was moving and could not take them along. Since Remy and Reka have been best buddies for 11 years, the great folks here at the APL find it extremely important to have them go to their new home together!
They are both very sweet, green-eyed beauties that have been at the APL since the beginning of April. Remy and Reka have both had their feline-alities assessed by the Meet Your Match program at the APL. Go figure, they are both Sidekicks—like ME! So if you’re looking for steady companions these lovely ladies are a perfect match for you!
Some people may be passing on Remy and Reka because of their age! But trust us (and we’ve talked about this in previous blogs) ,there are so many advantages to adopting senior pets. Remy and Reka still have a lot of love to give! They will be calling the APL home until they find their forever family…so make sure you come and meet them!
Oh! I almost forgot Saturday, May 22nd, is the last day of National New Friends, Old Friends Week! The APL is celebrating by reducing adoption fees for all kittens under 5 months to $45 and all cats 5 months and older to $20. (Regular kitten adoption fees are $95 and cat adoption fees are $45.) And, so that we can keep old friends together, any second kitten or cat adoption will be only $10.
Make sure you stop down to the APL and find your new best feline friend (or doggie friend if you choose)!
Until next time…
Love and purrs,
Kobe and Ozzy
