June 4, 2010
I’m back! Ozzy here and I’m feeling better than ever! I received some awesome care from the veterinarians and vet techs and I’m ready to write this week’s blog! Oh boy, is it a good one this week…not just because I’m writing it!
Our FIVE DOLLAR FELINE adoption event is back! Since June is Adopt-a-Shelter-Cat Month the Cleveland Animal Protective League is kicking it off in a big way. Until 4pm on Sunday, June 6, 2010, all cats ages 5 months and older will be available for only $5, and kittens under 5 months will have an adoption fee of only $25. Regular adoption fees for cats are $45 and kittens are $95. Now trust me when I say this, you can take the extra money you saved during this event and buy your new best friend toys and treats, or maybe even make a donation to help one of our feline friends who’s still waiting for his or her turn! Oh and don’t forget a super comfy bed!!!! They will really appreciate it! J
See, the great folks here at the APL want every home in the Cleveland area and beyond to enjoy the love of a fantastic shelter cat! AND the APL has also promised their cats that they would not to become overcrowded this year…but to keep that promise and continue our success with 100% placement of healthy, friendly cats; the APL needs your help.
The APL needs to find homes for the cats in their care at the same rate as new cats are coming in to them for help, and as the APL’s cat intake is unbelievably high right now, they need an unbelievable adoption week to keep up. The APL, Kobe and I feel so strongly about it this, that through Sunday, adoption fees will be dropped to well below what it costs the APL to provide care for our wonderful friends. And, though the fees may be reduced, the APL’s commitment to placing our cats with adopters who will provide wonderful, caring homes will remain high.
OH, I almost forgot! If adopters can’t make it to the Cleveland APL’s shelter this week, the APL wil
l be bringing their adoptable cats and kittens to locations throughout the area – and at the reduced fee! Animals at these events will be available for immediate adoption:
- Saturday, June 5th, Camp Bow Wow in Highland Heights from 10:00am-2:00pm
- Saturday, June 5th, Mentor Petco from 11:00am-2:00pm
- Sunday, June 5th, Caribou Coffee in Rocky River from 12:00-3:00pm
So make sure you stop by the APL this weekend and add a lifetime of purrs and head butts into your life by adding a feline friend to your family!
Until next time…
Love and purrs,
Kobe and Ozzy
