Kobe here! Thanks to everyone that came out to celebrate Feline Navidad last weekend! We are happy to announce that 30 of our feline friends went to new loving homes! PLUS, 14 of our canine friends were adopted!
Ozzy and I wanted to share with you a story that really got us into the holiday spirit. Yesterday, Lilo, a 2-month-old Cocker Spaniel puppy, came to the APL. Her mom called the APL yesterday asking for help. Lilo and her mom are from Mississippi and were visiting in
family in Parma when Lilo’s mom found out that she was being deployed to Iraq. She is leaving soon and had no one to care for Lilo. Lilo’s mom was assured by the nice people who work here at the APL that her puppy would get lots of love and would soon be in a loving home. As I write this Lilo is on the adoption floor, hoping to find a home for the holidays.
See, animals come to the APL for very different reasons. Sometimes they come because of situations like Lilo’s. Their owners love them so, so very much but circumstances do not allow them to keep their pet. These owners know that the Cleveland APL will be there to assist them—and their beloved pet—at their time of need. Take it from Ozzy and me, when animals like Lilo arrive at the APL, they get top-notch care and a ton of love!
Ozzy and I want to wish you all a very Happy New Year! We always send wishes out for all the animals at the APL that they will find a loving home. This week we are adding special wishes for Lilo’s mom. We hope she stays safe while she serves our country.
We also hope it will help her to know that the Cleveland APL was there for her and Lilo!!
Until next week!
Love and purrs,
Kobe and Ozzy
