I was going to write to you sooner but the time has just gone by so quickly and here it is six months later since we visited you and left with our newest family member.
My husband and I lost our dear old Dixie at the age of 15 last Labor day weekend of natural causes. Her passing left a very big void in our home so on Sunday September 23 we decided to come to the APL just to "look around". Upon entering the kennel area we heard this very loud barking coming from a very large lab mix named "Bosley" by your staff. He got out attention right away and he seemed very excited to see us.
After making the tour of the entire kennel my husband went back to Bosley's kennel and asked to see him in the private area. When I went into the room I found this big black and white dog draped over my husband's lap so we decided to take him outside with one of the staff to see how he behaved on a leash. We were so impressed we decided to take him home with us much to the delight of the entire staff ( who all seemed quite fond of him). We re-named him "K.C." (he just didn't look like a Bosley to us) and I have to say that he is the most loveable dog either of us has ever owned.
He was already completely housebroken and has never had any problems as far as that goes. We absolutely adore him...he has added so much fun to our home and we both trust him completely (very important with a dog of his size as he is about 90 pounds) Our neighbor loves him also . . . he's just one of those dogs that you can't resist and I am so glad we found him. Thank you for giving dogs like K.C. the chance to find a happy ending. We love him!
