OzzyIt’s Ozzy here!  YES! YES! YES!  It will be 2 weeks in a row I have written the blog.  Kobe is way to busy with his new super scratcher to even notice I have taken over the blog.  I really wanted to tell you more about our feline friends this week, but I only thought it would be fair to talk a little about our beloved canines here at the APL.

First, let me tell you about this super cool event the Lake Erie Monsters are hosting on February 28th.  It’s called Pucks and Paws!  You can bring you dog to the hockey game! The game starts at 3 p.m., and people tickets are only $12 and doggie tickets are only $5.  100% of the doggie ticket proceeds will help the aHelp Our Friendsnimals here at the APL. Although I didn’t get to go last year, my mom told me how much fun it was.  More than 500 dogs attended.  Can you imagine that?? I can’t wait to hear all about this year’s game!

blogNow, I want to tell you about Docia!  Docia is a 4-year-old coonhound.  The staff and volunteers here at the APL tell me she is a really sweet dog who loves to go on walks and give a ton of kisses.  She came to the APL all the way from Indiana via the Canine Express.  The Canine Express is a dog transfer program that brings dogs that may be facing euthanasia for time or space to the APL and other shelters.  The neat thing about the APL is that adoptable animals stay with us until they find their new mom or dad, no matter how long it takes!  The Canine Express helped save Docia’s life, now it’s our turn to make sure that Docia gets to go home with a loving family!

KobeDon’t forget to check back next week when we (I should really write “I” instead of “we,” since I have done all the writing this year!!!) will have more things to share in “Cats’ Eye View”!

Love and purrs,
Kobe and Ozzy
